FAQ Search

You can use a basic or advanced search to search the Knowledge Base.

Basic Search

To search all of the FAQ entries for one or more keywords, type the keywords into the FAQ Search field and click the Search button. Search keywords are not case sensitive.

All FAQ entries that contain one or more of your keywords are returned in the Search Results list. Simply click on one of the links in the Search Results list to go to that FAQ entry.

If the results list of your search is too large, you can refine or narrow it as follows.

Search for All Keywords
To return only pages that include all of keywords entered in the FAQ Search field, use a plus '+' sign between terms. For example, to search for FAQ entries that contain the words"Oracle JDBC Connection", you would enter: Oracle + JDBC + Connection.

Exclude a Keyword
You can exclude FAQ entries that contain a particular word by putting a minus sign ('-') immediately in front of the keyword in the FAQ Search field. Make sure you include a space before the minus sign. For example, to search for FAQ entries that contain the words "JReport reports" while excluding results that contain the word jdbc, you would enter: JReport + reports - jdbc.

Search for an Exact Order of Keywords
You can search for particular keywords, or phrases, by enclosing the phrase in quotation marks. Phrase searches using quotation marks are useful when searching for exact phrases or specific names. For example, to search for content that contains the phrase "JReport DHTML exporting", you would enter: "JReport DHTML exporting".

FAQ Browse

You can browse the Knowledge Base by selecting a specific category. For example, after you select 'JReport Designer' category, you will step into the browse results relevant to JReport Designer. You can also directly select topic, sub topic under category node to narrow your browse further.
