If the Basic Search is not providing the results you need, click the Advanced Search link in the FAQ Search box to begin an advanced search. An Advanced Search provides additional criteria that can help narrow the result of a search.

The Advanced Search box has the following options:

Category Options

The 'category options' section has three drop-down menus:

Select category
You can narrow your search by selecting a specific category of a product.

Select topic
'Select topic' displays topics based on the category you select.
Note: The topics displayed in this menu are dependant upon the category chosen in the 'Select category' drop-down menu.

Select sub topic
'Select sub topic' displays sub topics based on the topic you select.
Note: The sub topics displayed in this menu are dependant upon the topic chosen in the 'Select topic' drop-down menu.

Advanced Options

The Advanced Options section has two drop-down menus.

Search Type
Choose the type of search from the dropdown list.
Full Text will search the whole article for the search words entered.

Title Only will match the search words in an FAQ? title. The title words do not have to be in the exact order, and the article body will not be searched. This should result in faster search performance.

For
Type the words on which you want to search. Do not use noise words such as "the", "in", or "on". Use words that describe the problem or use the exact error message.

Using
Indicates whether one or all of the keywords appearing in the FAQ entry constitute.

Modified
Choose a date range for when you believe the FAQ entries were created or last modified. You can refine your search results to see the most recent articles, or broaden your results if you do not know a modification date. The default is AnyTime.
